Rent in Reality
The damage caused by the War of Zealots and Martyrs left lasting physical damage on the world. The worst of these are the Tears or Rents in Reality. These are places where the world itself has suffered serious damage and has not been repaired. The rents are dangerous, often leaking out terrifying abominations or draining the world out into the coldness of space.
While many rents have been repaired, there are always new ones popping up. Ancient Battlefields, spent ammunition, or Divine Weaponry can also spew out Rents in Reality. These can leak, spiral up into the sky, rearrange, melt, wash, or rip apart into the void itself.
"I am quite concerned about the Rents in Reality. Are they the minor inconvenience Darcassian Public Radio wants us to believe or is our world literally tearing itself apart from centuries of nonstop war? I wonder..." Laterly Hallil, Darcassian ScientistWhile the damage can be severe, attempts have been made to try and salvage them by hand. Some Darcassians have even tried to use these tears to power machinery, for the energy output of the rents can be immense. Such efforts were made with some mixed results in the ruined lands of Salakhand. Generally, most people avoid the Rents in Reality. These tears can range from being small holes to gigantic, covering areas as big as valleys. At a distance, one can stare into the stars and briefly glimpse the things that lurk in the instability between worlds.
Manifestation
Rents in Reality can appear as torrents of wind, swirling up into the sky. One could also see strange gravitational anomalies, such as floating land formations, water flowing free from the earth, or sudden drops into space. The land could be melting away into space, or currents of energy washing upon the world or falling apart.
Localization
Old battlefields, spent ammunition, or the remains of dead God Kings. Entire sections of the world have been exposed or consumed by Rents in Reality. These lands are largely abandoned.
