Tehachapi Mountains

Facing the surf of Cwicbeam, the Tenachpi mountains are known for being wet and cold. Though, this humidity only faces the western side of the mountains, whereas the eastern side sees many dry days. You can find many interesting cultures in these mountains, including clans of costal Dragonborn, trolls, goblins, and most recently, the Floating Islands of Thaifel (see article).

Geography

Rainy and cold on the western side, cold and dry on the east. Pretty standard mountains, with ice topping them off and many boreal trees littering their slopes. Icey rivers trickle down into their valleys and down to the ocean below.

Fauna & Flora

Both species of spruce, white birch, trembling aspen, balsam poplar, etc. Small rodents such as rabbits are common, as well as mountain goats, mountain squirrels, elk, snow leopards, many birds, weasels, hawks, etc. The hippogriff and griffon populations often quarrel with each other and have their own territories, especially in breeding seasons.
