Torald McKinnon

Well-known in the criminal underworld, Torald McKinnon led bandit clan on a five year spree that left him one of the most wanted men in the known world. This was despite his auspicious beginnings as the son of a minor noble who sent him to a premier bardic college. Rather than use this privilege to rise to the upper echelons, he descended into a sort of anarchic hedonism that led to him adopting Drenil and collecting a string of misfits. The bandit clan became known as the Brotherhood, and they rode through the wildlands. Torald had romantic ideas of what the life of an outlaw would be, seeing himself a charismatic Robin Hood of legend. But things turned sour quickly as he drew attention from rival gangs and law enforcement alike. The death of his long-time mistress, the halfling Annabeth, led to a complete freefall. And something dark and wicked, from the depths of the hells themselves, heard his despair… and decided to capitalize on it.
