When the projections of the Earth's habitability started to look very grim, a large group of the world's elites funded and built a massive airship intended to be an "ark" for those that could afford it. It was fully built with all possible amenities and systems that would allow it to be self sufficient for an indefinite period of time. Occasionally, it would return to the surface skyports for trading, restocking supplies, diplomacy, and other miscellaneous tasks.
As time went on, this airship became its own nation, and with the rise of Artificials, became very xenophobic and hostile towards them.
Runs on a classical familial monarchy.
