"Our three subjects explore a long-abandoned ruin, uncovering hidden rooms, grisly remains, ghostly apparitions, a sinister tome and a broken priest."

On entering the burnt out house, they witness an apparition of a beautiful woman floating down a staircase. She sits facing them on a long-vanished chair, then slits her own throat.

  The ground floor seems empty. The first floor contains a bookcase in an old bedroom. One book sits miraculously undamaged amongst the ash and debris of many others. They pick it up.

  Giving the ground floor one last search, they find a hidden switch in a back room that opens to reveal a small room with a staircase. Rotting body parts litter the room.

  They walk down a staircase in this small room to a basement. There they find Father Gregory sprawled amongst the mutilated bodies of the missing victims. One arm and both legs have been chewed off; he is alive, but utterly insane.

  He gibbers about "The Liver Man".

  Hearing shuffling and grunts from deeper in the basement, they carry Father Gregory out to safety.
