Lamprey

A wide spanning continent that appears to be the majority of land that once split off from Pangaea, or the world before the split when the "gods" walked among the giants and dragons they created. Lamprey has many different wilds, including a heavily wooded region known as Hierophant, a desert region called Skophos, a beach region called Nyxus, and many plains, marshes, and mountainous terrain to connect them together called the Badlands. There is also a very mountainous region to the north called Elandrous and a wide-opening sea that surrounds the entire continent called Oread. (See map number 1 for this continent). Lamprey has many villages spread far and wide with much-unsettled land in between them. Monsters and foes live in the unsettled lands. The humans that live in these areas are referred to as the Outkasts.

Geography

To the far north of the map and is the largest mass of land that broke off from Pangaea. Has a variety of terrain, including mountains, hills, swamps, plains, beaches, etc. A large river runs up through Hierophant and separates it from Skophos as well as running along the southern border and separating it from Nyxus. The River begins in the middle of the penninsula of Nyxus and forms a Y before entering the region of Hierophant. At the Y, one branch runs straight up through Hierophant and the other along the southern border. The ouput of the northern branch is the opposite side of Elandrous, and the eastern output opens on the east side of Lamprey.

Fauna & Flora

There are the normal flora and fauna of a woodland area in Hierophant, the normal flora and fauna of a desert in Skophos, the normal flora and fauna of a beach in Nyxus, and the normal flora and fauna of a mountainous region in Elandrous. These regions also contain special DnD creatures that populate the area, such as an allosaurus that is in the small area between Hierophant and Skophos that the party will encounter (rare species but lives in heavily wooded areas and hunts for food outside these sometimes). DM's choice for fun random encounters!

Natural Resources

Much wood from forests and very fertile farmland in Hierophant. Also contains many mining outcrops in Elandrous as well as sources of lava. Some metal outcroppings in desert, valuable mining for precious metals here. Nyxus is great for fishing and very prosperous for this.
