The Nomad Tribes

The nomadic tribes of Chidan wander between the thirteen oases of the Grey Wastes. There are four such tribes, and they wander from oasis to oasis to preserve precious water for their fellows. They openly trade with one another and with Alarefti through intermediaries. They also trade with the Orcish tribes, though any dealings with the Orcs are made cautiously, for the Orcs are mighty warriors and quick to anger, having once demonstrated their might to their human neighbors long ago. Mekira-speakers live among the nomads as fakirs - prophets and spiritual leaders.
