Magic Rules
1. There is always an equal price to using magic.
2. Understanding is directly proportional to the efficiency of magic*
*Oral or Written Spells can be used to remove the understanding cost of magic, however there is an
exponential increase in the mana consumption
3. Mana can neither be created nor destroyed.
It is however, very malleable, and can be changed into matter, energy, plasma and antimatter.
4. An object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object
with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material*.
Mana can be used to Transmute matter, however there is a huge cost to mana.
5. Spells with limitations or conditions increase the power of the spell exponentially, as mana gets proportionally
stronger with disadvantages
-"Showing your hand" Or informing an opponent about your ability will increase the power. This is one reason why oral casting is easier.
6. The casting of magic is strictly in this order
Conduit -> Element -> Shape -> Size -> Velocity -> Direction -> Release
Mana Cost = ([1-Affinity] x Elements Used)+(Dimensions x Shape)+(Volume/Mass)+(Distance x Direction) = Mana Cost
Affinity
Caster has a fire affinity
Thermal Affinity = 0.95x
Luminance Affinity = 0.75x
Pressure Affinity = 0.75x
Flow Affinity = 0.5x
State Affinity = 0.5x
Type of Mana (Conduit)
Elements Used
Includes using 2 or more sides of an element. For Example: Heat+Cold, which would create Steam
Dimension
This involves the outline of the spell, what shape it will take before it is filled with the mana. This is the perimeter or surface area of a cast.
Shape
This involves the amount of lines a cast has. Repetition of same shapes saves mana The cost is 1/20 less every shape reused.
Volume
This refers to the mana that fills up the shape of the cast.
Mass
This refers to the total mass of the cast.
Direction
Anything to the front of the cast costs no extra Mana, everything around the cast costs more mana, changing by degrees. This is the hardest stage to change.
0° = 1x
45° = 1.125x
90° = 1.25x
180° = 1.5x
7. 250+ Rule. If the mana of the caster directly encompasses more than 250% of the object the object mana is now in their control. This is especially effective with manipulators
