Daran Edermath
Daran Edermath, an Elf aged 111, is deeply influenced by the aftermath of the War of the Gith. Born shortly after the war's end, his family's struggles during those turbulent times shaped his upbringing. Raised on stories of their fight for survival, Daran's own life was inevitably colored by this backdrop.
Upon reaching adulthood, he made a firm choice to join the Order of the Gauntlet. This dedicated group, committed to justice and protecting the vulnerable from harm, became a way for Daran to make a tangible difference. His involvement sharpened his understanding of the world and honed his skills, all while instilling a lasting sense of purpose.
After dedicating years to the Order's service, Daran eventually reached a pivotal point. Opting to retire from active duty, he returned to Phandalin, his hometown, in search of comfort and reconnection. Embracing a quieter life, he took on the role of tending to an orchard, a visible embodiment of his journey. While the echoes of the Gith war still resounded in his family's history, Daran's personal story shifted toward stewardship, contemplation, and the tranquil satisfaction derived from nurturing the land. Amidst Phandalin's peaceful surroundings, his tale transitioned into a new chapter, defined by his choices, contributions, and the legacy he continues to embody. Even though he's no longer active in the order, Daran remains vigilant, keeping watch over the happenings around Phandalin.

A fit, silver-haired half-elf well over a hundred years old.
