Personal history
Findalwald is an ex-recruit of the Grim Legion, training to become a member. He failed his first test when he met Balthazar, a rogue sage/scholar who was found to be hoarding books and knowledge. Findalwald was dispatched to kill Balthazar but was convinced to help him instead. Since then, Findalwald was married to him and began helping Balthazar grow his collection of knowledge. Together, they dreamed of building a hidden library to store what knowledge remained in the world after the Celestial War.
Years passed and Balthazar and Findalwald were discovered, though their hidden store of knowledge remains undiscovered. Balthazar was executed while Findalwald escaped with his life and little else. Findalwald now continues to collect knowledge, though he has yet to return to the hidden library for fear of it being discovered and destroyed.
Along his journey, he found and formed a pact with Quinteth the Wise, who saw his efforts and thought to empower him to continue. His patron promised him magic and knowledge that has been forgotten if Findalwald would be their servant and do their bidding when they call on them, and in exchange, he would help to bring Balthazar back to Findalwald.
