Personal history

He does not remember his parents, having vauge memories of them from when he was very young, Drayliat was raised in an orphanage, where weak children often die and the children who an survive are sold into slavery. The day before he was supposed to be sent off to be sold, Drayliat escaped the orphanage and began his life of living on the streets. He worked many odd jobs wherever he could find work, taverns, inns, shops, working for a few days' pay and then leaving to the next town he lived this way for years, often living among the beggars and the poor, stealing for food when he could not find pay. During the point of his life where he had reached rock bottom, being sick and having no money to buy food, he was given an amulet by a passing woman which resembled a large golden coin. After getting this coin he felt something strange, and knew it had to be something of the old gods, something he did not fully believe in until that point. As history of the old gods is not very well known it is hard to find information on them but he was able to find pieces of religious texts, talking of the goddess Sabrael. After reading about her he knew that this amulet, this feeling, had to have come from her.
