Tick and Tock

Guardians of the plane of n'Thawi. They are always described together. One is an iridescent black, with fur colors reflecting into blues and purples. The other is an opal-white, tricking the eyes into seeing an entire rainbow of colors in its fur.
There is no elaboration in stories about why the cats are the guardians of n'Thawi. In stories, they simply "defeat invaders" or "welcome guests" without explanation.
