The Grand Palace of Justice

The Grand Palace of Justice, and The Seat of The First Court of Dybrus, Xyhdohr, Idite, Yrtyx, Omdis and Liweus.   Otherwise known as The Grand Palace of Justice.   Located in the city of Paragon, in the Histian Empire, there is a large building that is known to be both a shrine, a pilgrimage, a monument and one of the largest government buildings known to exist on the planet. It is not used as a government seat in modern times, as the last session to have taken place there was held sometime in the tenth or eleventh century.    The Grand Palace of Justice is a large domed building located just south of the heart of the city, facing inland towards the valley which is home to a large natural lake fed by waterfalls that run from the Hispan Sea. This domed structure is thought to be one of the largest in existence in modern times, and stands more than one-thousand feet tall within only the main construct of the building itself outside of the central dome, inside of which sit several large statues that depict the majority of the deities who's influence lies in government and politics. The dome is the center of the building, and would stand five-hundred feet taller than the surrounding building, with the dome held up by a circle of thick and heavily reinforced marble and stone pillars fixed around iron bars as well as arches to hold the dome itself in place.    The Grand Palace was thought to have once been the largest active governmental structure at one point in time, after the plans that had seen it's use as the former Emperor's Palace were not realized due to it's near vicinity to the open sea, which he saw as a danger in the face of the possibility of an imminent attack on the new Empire, should Olgath see reason to attack in an attempt to reorganize their empire. He instead moved to Histagon, further along the coast, and new plans began to see the light of day for the new purpose of the building.   It stands along a vast avenue that stretches almost the width of the city, acting as the largest open-air museum and historical plaza in the world. The main road of the city which reaches from the Paragon docks stretches all the way to the Grand Palace at the end, and runs underneath two archways that line the streets. The first of these is the Arc Of Independence, and was built with the representation of the distance the first Emperor traveled from Olgath in mind, as the arc's interior is decorated by a map of the route from Olgath to the islands carved and painted inside. Also carved into the arc are the names of the first Emperor as well as the individuals who traveled with him and founded the new Empire. Further along is the Arc of The New Empire, which stands wider and shorter than the Independence Arc. Also to be found in the vicinity of the Grand Palace are the Chancellery, which is the office of the Vice Chancellor of The Empire, who is third in the line of succession after the Chancellor, who is essentially the vice-ruler of the Empire. This building can be found to the north of the Grand Palace, along the same roadway, while the Imperial Archive building can be found to the south, also along the same roadway. Behind all of these is a large amphitheater, and further still behind it is a vast garden and preserved park that had been used during the reign of the first Emperor as his private gardens outside the city.    The largest statue in the dome is that of Omdis, the God of Law and Order, depicted as standing with a gavel in one hand and the Scales of Destiny in the other, which are shown on an even level with one another, which is to show the personality of Omdis as being level and even in his work, never siding with one opinion until he had heard the words of his fellow deities. Each of the statues is built from gold, but their headpieces are carved from silver.    The Grand Palace is open six days a week, and holds a private Sunday mass for the elite and rich families in Paragon inside a former courtroom on the northern side of the massive building, which is otherwise closed off to the public during the six-day week, while the Grand Palace is open.
