Stycy

Drugs do exist.
  And they can kill.
And Stycy is believed to be one of the worst of them all.
Stycy is a drug that was designed for those looking for the quick and perfect high. Getting the best of the drug world with only a third of the work to reach it.
The best description of Stycy is that it is a substance that resembles glue in color and texture, and is mainly taken by rubbing it into the nostrils and applying it to the top of the inner surface of the those, which will allow the chemicals to enter the body with the best efficiency. It can be taken through the mouth, but it's name and texture encourage inhalation through the nose. It causes a high in the user, slowing down their cognitive senses and impairing their vision and speech amongst other things, although the effect highly outweighs the cost of taking the drug long term.
But many who see what it can do may have a chance to redeem themselves.
The drug's main effect on the body takes a long period of time to first appear, but once it begins, by then it is often far too late to stop it. The skin of the nose will start to turn black and rough to the touch, starting usually at the tip of the nose or the sides, where the nose itself meets the face. From here, the toxins only spread, and the nose continues to deteriorate at a seemingly faster and faster rate, eventually becoming uncontrollable and unstoppable. By the end, the nose is completely caved in or otherwise destroyed, and along with it the sense of smell and breathing, which is why the drug itself is the cause of premature death in middle-aged or young adults who take the drug.
There are, unfortunately, no known medications that can stop the drug and it's effects from taking hold, as the drug itself is still relatively new to the world, only having appeared in the mid two-thousands, and primarily in countries like Aswary and outlier cities in the Histian Empire, where many drugs are already illegal, and procuring them or owning them outside of medicinal purposes is cause for a fine or jail time. Aswary too cracks down severely on drugs, meaning that the market for it is small but lucrative, for those able to pay the right price to find it.
The effect of the nose rotting away can usually take up to three months to take hold with active usage, but if the user takes it only occasionally, the rotting usually fails to take hold for up to five months before it too becomes unstoppable.
