The country of Opron is home to more than forty cities spread over millions of miles of land, each of these holding several thousand to several millions of residents.    Of these many cities, only two have taken the status of being the largest in the country.   And one of them is named Home.   Founded sometime after the Minorian Mountains were discovered followed by the Great Stave mountains, Home was first announced after a large bowl-shaped valley with an expansive tree canopy was found in the southeastern reaches of the country, only a few miles away from the easternmost coastline of the continent of Rethium. Home was founded in the continent's early history, sometime after the Great Expansion, which is thought to be the first notable event in modern recorded history.   Home is a large city, with a population steadily growing from the thousands and upwards, increasing through the tens of thousands over the passing decades until, in modern day, Home was populated by more than five-hundred-thousand residents and their families. It is also commonly referred to as a Regiopolis, which is a city with a population of more than three-hundred-thousand but always less than one-million people in total.    Home is the second-largest city in Opron, after the true capital of the country, a city named Opron Center which is found in Garden County, the country's first and largest county. Opron Center holds more than one million residents approximately, and is the first city to have been founded in the country after the Great Expansion of the races as they spread across the continent in search of the places where they would build and expand their new homes. Home was founded primarily by Kitsune in search of a place where they could exist peacefully amongst themselves and grow their race over time, while Opron Center was founded primarily by Humans in search of their own home.    The city is built around the trunks of the massive trees that create the city's canopy, with smooth but often-winding and twisting streets that sometimes travel underneath and around large twisting roots that surround them, though the roots are not commonly found in this way aboveground. The city therefore is separated into two major sections, the City and the Attic districts. The Attic is where the homes of the city's population can be found, since the land beneath is widely devoted to the many services and other companies and the like that employ the thousands of residents of the vast city. Homes can also be found in the lower district, and small neighborhoods of these homes are common, separated from the city proper by walls of brick and stone that differentiate them from the buildings that sit outside those walls. The capital building of Home can be found in a large central park, standing against the largest tree in the city and made out of stone and brick and other expensive materials imported from the surrounding countries after they had been founded and populated by their own respective races. A large sand-timer or hourglass is suspended between two large trees nearby, and is used to count the time of day when walking through the city, despite the fact that the sunlight and the sun itself can often be seen in the sky through the canopy that covers and protects the city itself. This large hourglass was thought to have been constructed in Stale by the Dwarven race, and supplied with sand from Yesmos by the Jackalfolk race that called that land their home after the Expansion. It is the most expensive object in the country after the vaults of jewels and riches owned by the king of Opron Center, but thankfully this large timer has never been vandalized or threatened by the public, as it is too valuable to them to risk damaging the object, for fear that the Dwarves may refuse to replace it if it is too far damaged.    A common method of transport around the city are the vast waterways that flow around the city, often crossed over by large drawbridges or even stone and brick bridges, although a majority of the bridges across the largest river in the city have been built as drawbridges, as steamboats and other ships of smaller size are used to move between city districts from one side to the other as the fastest method of transport. The largest river in Home is thought to be an extension of the distant Rubyvein River that runs through the Yagi Forest in the upper region of Kitsune County, not far from The Great Stave that separates Kitsune and Garden County from one another. The Miner's Mistress is the largest steamship in the city and services the Rubyvein River transport network, but is the only ship thought to currently service the city, while smaller transport ships are dedicated to other sections of the river in the city. Otherwise, horse-and-cart is the second-most widely used method of city transport, while walking is the third method and depending on the distance being crossed can be the slowest method of transport across the city.    The largest employer in Home is known as General Industries, which serves the city as it's largest factory and industry-based company, though they do not allow emissions to escape into the canopy and instead have discovered a way to reuse them in their industry to lessen the dangerous effects of carbon and other emissions on the wildlife and the environment and population as a whole. Most of these factories and industry jobs are constructed in vast underground facilities, but are located far enough underground that the surface is not effected by the environment of these large constructs and their workloads.    The current mayor of Home is a Kitsune named Takeo Yori, which means Valiant Public Servant.
