Eamae Ocean

The Eamae Ocean.   First Ocean.   The second-largest ocean on the planet.   The Eamae Ocean can be found to the east of the continent of Rethium, bordered by the continents of Rethium to the west, the eastern side of Usmor to the north, and Ethlemthos to the far east, and with Olgath beyond Ethlemthos, farther to the east but on the opposite side of another ocean of the planet.   The Eamae Ocean is the second-deepest ocean on the planet, and is home to a vast number of fish species as well as plenty of the apex predators that live below them in the dark and who enjoy to feed on them daily, to continue the lifespan of these great beasts and to support the always-growing food chain and the circle of life that must begin, end and begin again.   There are many regions of the Eamae Ocean that are well known, but of them all, one place stands out as the greatest.   This is Hell's Reach.   Hell's Reach is a vast and expanding undersea trench that is in competition with Fathom's Reach, which is found in the Thhhraeae Ocean to the west, between Aswary and the Histian Empire on the far side. Fathom's Reach extends nearly seven miles below the surface, the deepest recorded location on the planet, while Hell's Reach extends even further, a whopping and impossible ten miles deep, cutting into the upper crust and home to great channels of superheated magma that flows beneath the surface, creating some of the hottest submerged terrain on the planet.   There are countless ocean-dwelling species that call this place home, and one of them is the Paralititan. The Paralititan is a massive deep-ocean beast that would rather be heard and not seen. It feeds on other large apex predator species that occupy the same waters, yet it can also survive on krill and other microscopic sea creatures that also thrive in the deep, and especially as far down as Hell's Reach. The Paralititan is a species of unrecorded size and strength, but it has been compared to the legendary sea monsters of sailor's folk tales about a giant with many tentacles, capable of swallowing entire ships and their crews whole, dragging them down to the depths below, never to be seen again. This same beast is also considered legend, since it has never been seen by people on the surface, which is owed to the fact that it has been and will be a primarily deep-ocean dwelling species.    Other species call this ocean home. Such are the Cottonback Ceta, a massive whale species with a white back as their primary feature. This species is a filter-feeder, and eats krill and other microscopic species of fish, residing near the surface of the ocean, along with it's cousin, the Longhorn Ceta, which possesses a long keratin growth extending from it's upper jaw, also boasting a ghostly color to their skin. They too are filter-feeders, and share the upper ocean with their Cottonback cousins.    This same ocean is also home to hundreds of species of fish, as well as the graves of hundreds of shipwrecks that have sunk in those ocean depths all throughout recorded history. One such wreck is the Good Intent, a two-thousand-passenger sailing vessel known to have sailed between the early and late nineteen-hundreds, before sinking on a cross-ocean journey between Ethlemthos and Charme, Opron, and sinking during that voyage due to striking an iceberg along the way after ignoring many warnings from other ships regarding the same ice that it eventually collided with and sunk.
