Idhunn

"Though she may appear meek and timid, her immense power and good faith are the only things that have allowed the gods to live for eternity." -excerpt from Tales of the Gods, Vol 1

The Rejuvenator

Idhunn is the goddess of Life, Community, and Eternal Youth. Among the gods her role is by far one of the most important, for without her and her orchard of Golden Apples, the gods would have all died off long ago. It is important to note here, that divinity does not grant eternal life in itself, the gods were granted their eternal life by virtue of Idhunn's golden apples, and without them they would age and die just as mortals do.

Outwardly she may not appear to be the immensely powerful goddess that she is, often regarded as the most meek and timid of the gods, but without her kindness and good faith the gods would have all died off long ago.

After the Great Cataclysm brought destruction to their realm, Idhunn managed to gather seeds from her orchard so that she may begin again in their new home. Millennia have passed since then, and her trees have bore their golden fruit once again.

In her avatar and religious artworks, Idhunn is portrayed as a small Half-Elven girl with tanned skin and braided golden hair that reaches to the ground behind her. She is always depicted wearing a white dress and a wreath of autumn leaves about her head, and she often carries a large woven basket filled with apples.

Tenets of Faith

Like seedlings in the soil, tend to those who need care.

Just as you carefully tend to the plants in a garden, people must be treated with equal care and compassion. Nurture them and help them grow.

Share your talents.

Share your talents with those less fortunate than yourself, do your part to make the world a better place. Everyone must look after one another, the quality of a culture is determined by how they treat their least fortunate.

Give freely and happily.

Give freely and happily to those who require aid, without thought of repayment, but never let anyone take advantage of your generosity.
