King Eyrsicthon

King Eyrsicthon was a king of men in the land of Nirdal and is the first vampire. Legend has it that he angered Demeter and was possessed with the spirit of hunger, eating everything in sight. His hunger permanetly scarred the once lush lands around his former castle, a place which has never since escaped the famine of his hunger.

Some believe he eventually ate himself out of existence. This would be good. Unfortunately, he merely consumed himself until only his head was remaining, however his hunger is eternal.

It is unclear exactly how, but the head was hidden in the mines underneath Saltmarsh and the Dwarves were sent to find it. They did, but Klearic Faymal and the party stole it from Mannistrad Copperlocks and transported it to the King's old castle where it has been stored by the Order of the Lycans in the Vault of Existential Artifacts.
