Twin Blades Z'Avenzesh and Nyr'Zaelin (Z Aven zesh & Neer Zay lin)
Forged in Emperor Zarionel's reign by the finest swords smith of the time and enchanted by several of the Empire's finest wizards with the Emperor's direct input, Z'Avenzesh and Nyr'Zaelin are the pair of long swords passed down with the crown. Both will harm incorporeal creatures and are good aligned, doing holy damage to evil. This also affects the wielder, should someone with a dark heart try to wield them.
Z'Avenzesh is enchanted to store any spell with up to 10 charges.
Nyr'Zaelin is enchanted to disrupt arcane energy for up to five minutes in a 100ft radius. It takes 24 hours to recharge.
In the pommel of each blade are a large piece of green agate, which is known to increase compassion, generosity and a keen sense of justice, along with enhancing mental and emotional flexibility, improving decision-making and resolving disputes. It also encourages these traits in others. Other stones elsewhere on the blades are four large emeralds, two smaller emeralds and two royal sapphires. The emeralds are known to enhance psychic abilities, open clairvoyance, and stimulate the use of greater mental capacity. They bring awareness of the unknown to conscious recognition, imparting reason and wisdom. Emeralds assists in inciting activity and focus in ones actions, strengthen memories and impart clarity of thought. They also inspire a deep inner knowing, promoting truth and discernment. Sapphire is said to be the wisdom stone, stimulating concentration, enhancing creativity and promoting purity and depth of thought, focusing and calming the mind as well as helping to remove unwanted thoughts, depression and mental tension.
