Yelothina (Yell-loth-EENAH)

Yelothina is the capital of the Sovereign nation of Raenot but most know it as the head of the undying kingdom because of its tradition of reanimation of the dead. The city of Yelothina holds one of the world most prestigious universities for the study of necromancy and the specific trade of the reanimation of the dead. Yelothina and Raenot as a whole use reanimation of the dead as a way to bring honor to your family. The dead are reanimated and decorated with the finest family heirlooms to display station and heritage and the reanimated dead provide their homes with menial labor to demonstrate humility. This tradition means that necromancers are not only common to find but are an honored profession to hold. The necromancers of Yelothina are known as the Kalth Morna or 'ones who know the names of the ancients' and have a holiday on the first day of their third month to celebrate their contributions to society. Because of the fear that surrounds the concept of necromancy in many nations and the mountains that wall of the nation to all but naval trade the Raetians are the subject of much rumor and superstition. As the city of Yelothina helms the study of necromancy and naval trade has become a more reliable source of travel due to the expansion of the Grokaaz, the Raetians are beginning to travel out in greater numbers and dismantle the fears that many hold with the powers of necromancy. The dead are esteemed members of each family in Reanot. The city of Yelothina is recently became the capitla of Raenot after the son of King Felisar died from the gilded mark, a virus that leave long lines of blistered skin surrounded by yellowed skin. After the death of King Felisar's only son another influencial family formed a political marriage to the king and the oldest daughter of that family became the Queen of the nation after the union of her father and Felisar.
