The Island of Dannendore

The Island of Dannendore is the largest island off the coast of Regia. Situated to the southwest of the continent, across the namesake Strait of Dannendore, the island is a major landmark for people in the region. The island itself is surrounded on all sides by cliffs almost a hundred feet high. Quite a few people have tried to scale the cliffs, and discover what lies beyond them, but very few return, and those that do have never made it up.
According to a popular legend, one man by the name of Lumas Tobias braved the waters during a storm, and found his way to a hidden passage, leading into the island. Tobias eventually returned to tell his story, or so the legend goes.

Localized Phenomena

Frequent, unpredictable storms swell up, lasting only for an hour at most. These storms seem to be localized to the area surrounding the island, never much affecting the mainland.
