Nekanthropy
Nekanthropy is less a disease than it is an acquired, irremovable condition. It becomes a part of the victim, and to remove it would be to remove a part of oneself (literally and figuratively). The exact symptoms are unknown; there's only one living carrier, but it would seem that it is a condition from birth or early life. The major differences are noticeable: feline ears, a tail, and a peculiar psychological effect. The afflicted tend to have very strange, sudden mood swings, for no apparent reason. They themselves may not be aware of this, or that the behavior is odd, but it does appear that way from the outside.
Symptoms
Cat-like biology (ears, tail, soft, somewhat fluffy hair).
Cultural Reception
Victims of nekanthropy are seen as "a bad kind of different" and usually treated unfairly.
