The Cataclysm Hammer

Written by HollowMoth16

The Cataclysm Hammer is a long-lost artifact of great significance to Dwarvish culture. Once belonging to Origon, the Dwarvish God of the Forge, it is now lost to time. No one knows where it is to this day, not even the other gods.

Origins

The Cataclysm Hammer was said to be forged by Origon in the earliest days of magic. As the legend goes, Origon used it alongside Lux, the God of everything Fey and Magic, to create the earliest forms of magical life. Of course, not everyone believes this story, but there is no denying that the Cataclysm Hammer and Origon are very real. Outside of the legend, Origon used it to create magical armor and weapons for her most devoted followers, as well as other things, like casting spells with it or using it as a weopon.

What Happened to it?

Although some details have been changed over the years, most people can agree that Origon lost her hammer in a way close to this: While Origon was on the material plane, Phoenix, the Legendary Rogue, had found a magical compass that could point the way to any item or person. She used this to track down Origon and her hammer. Origon being a god, she had no need to sleep, so stealing it was going to be no easy task. But, Phoenix came prepared. She had bought a potion of speed, so she drank it and zipped by. Origon still managed to see her and grabbed her before she could truly get away. Phoenix tried to cast a teleportation spell, but something went wrong. Teleportation is a very hard spell to cast, and Phoenix, while being a fairly good spell caster, got a bit overzealous, and failed to cast the spell. She accidentally sent The Cataclysm Hammer into a pocket dimension of the infinite void, with no way to find The Hammer. Phoenix was then sent to Red Guard, a prison dedicated to prisoners that wronged a god.
