Golden Menace

A Golden Menace is a giant mole-like creature that hunts in the heat of the desert. They are completely blind, but have an incredible sense of smell, allowing them to hunt with amazing efficiency.

Diet

Because of their large size, they can prey on a large number of things, such as camels, foxes, bobcats, and even traveling humans and elves. They aren't afraid to take foes on, even things twice their size. This makes them very dangerous, so any traveler passing through should be wary of them.

Behavior

Golden Menace's spend all of their time hunting, except for the few hours during dawn that they sleep. They generally like to burrow under their prey to swallow them before there can be much protest, but they can still hold their own in a fight. The Menace has massive claws and teeth that they use to cut and bite their foes with respectively.

How to Kill

Although Golden Menace's are powerful, they don't have much natural armor to speak of, making them easy to wound. Their underbelly is a major weak point, so if you can distract them somehow, or if you're simply just speedy enough, then you can hinder the Menace. Even though they don't have much protection to speak of, they are incredibly speedy, allowing them to dodge attacks with ease. Only the most nimble of adventurers can take down such a beast.
