Mouseion

The Mouseion is home to The Archium and the greatest knowledge repository in existence. Its purpose is to collect and preserve important information that has been gathered on planets throughout the Inner Worlds. Many of the most important texts from all over the galaxy is stored here, in their original form and in digital format. This Inner World planet has been dedicated to the collection and management of knowledge.

There are several satellite archives throughout the galaxy, but they are nothing more than dirty reflections of Mouseion's holdings. Somewhere within the ruins are the blueprints to regain space travel, terraform planets, and combat deadly illnesses.

Mouseion is The Archivist faction’s foundation. It is overseen by the faction known as The Archium.

History of Mouseion

The library was built on the ruins discovered on Mouseion The age of the library is unknown. As the Inner Worlds established themselves, they found evidence of a race predating their own. No one knows how old the ruins are or who they belonged to. Mouseion is orbited by three moons: Ptolemis, Platis, and Aristis. It consists of three main sections labeled the Library, Codex, and Index.

As the repository grew in size, administration grew as well. The moons became an organizational boundary(?)

was created first by one of the Elder Races so that they could keep track of all their own ideas in order for them to share them amongst themselves later on when those ideas would become forgotten from over

The planet and its moons are protected by a fleet of drones and heavily guarded ships. Mouseion will attack any ship that is not on an official list of approved visitors. These drones, mostly unaffected by the solar storm, may still be active.
The Library is composed of countless caverns filled with ancient information from around the galaxy. The caverns are self-contained and have their own atmospheres. While many have contributed to the archive, only Archiums are allowed to access it directly.
The Archium’s primary goal is to gain and safeguard knowledge. As such, the faction is divided amongst Collectors/Seekers who sift through the dust of ancient worlds in search of new information. Librarians/Organizers who compile and maintain Mouseion's vast holdings, it is the Scholars who peruse its texts and record new knowledge. Protectors/knights who are ever vigilant, serve to guard the archives and other members from would-be destroyers.
