The Empire of Flen

The capital city of The Empire of Flen is home to the monarch, Tsarina Sophia Lilrynn, ascending the throne after the death of the previous ruler, a Tsar. The military and people love her dearly, as she brought sweeping reforms to The Empire, such as the abolition of child labor and better conditions for the working class. The Empire of Flen is located north of Astea, stretching across a vast region. To the far north, it is very remote. No border checkpoints, just stone obelisks in the steppe marking the boundary between The Empire and the Faraway Lands. To the South, Flen shares the border with Astea. To the northeast, are historic floating islands with cantilever bridges. Tall staircases ascend upward to the islands, as waterfalls pour down into lakes on the ground. The Empire's northwest consists of deserts with tiny pyramids, remnants of a bygone civilization. A railroad exists in the far north, hauling freight across vast distances.

Currently the Empire of Flen occupies all of the land north of Astea that is still attached to the continental mainland, including the floating islands.
