Troang

.Troang is the head investigator in the town of Palimpay. Typically this amounts to investigating petty theft and lost cats, but recently he has been charged with investigating the kidnapping of three young boys. The case was considered closed after the death of Darmo.
Troang had come to Madame Z to have his fortune told shortly after she arrived in Palimpay. He came to ask her if he and his wife (Mary Ann) would ever conceive a child. She hesitated to answer her, but he offered her a great deal of money to give him the truth. She told him no, they would not. He asked her if he was unable to conceive and she told him no, he was not. He asked her if his wife was unable to conceive and she confirmed that she was not. Troang has never wanted anything more than to be a father. It is his life’s dream. When he told his wife what Madame Z said, she left him, despite how much she loved him, so that he may find a woman to make him a father. Since then, he has been angry and distrusting of Madame Z, avoiding her at every turn. He is a good man, but he blames her for his wife leaving him. He also is tormented by the possibility that Madame Z is not trustworthy and that his wife could have left him for no reason.
