Oparr

Oparr is an extremely intelligent aasimar person, from Teroz. They have their nose in a book 24/7, They are tall, very dark skinned, and quite thin/bony. They have long, thin, elaborate dreadlocks/braids. In the right light, their cheek bones seem to have a slight golden sheen. They are incredibly socially inadequate - they are known to make a joke that is not well received by accident. Oparr is an older person, around 55, who ceremonially and phyiscally transitioned to nonbinary when they became 50 years old. This is a somewhat common practice in the monasteries of Teroz - as they wish to ascend towards enlightenment, they shed their gender affiliations and seek the truths of the world. This is by no means a requirement, and there is no social pressure to pursue this path. Oparr previously lived as a man, and had a wife (who has also transitioned). People who have transitioned through this method lack all sex characteristics and genitals, including secondary characteristics. This type of transition is sacred in Terozian religion, and is called the Undoing. People are "reborn", and must remake themselves, with a blank canvas. It is considered especially sacred should a couple transition together, as an ultimate testament that their bond is not of the flesh. The first person to complete this transition was Tonra Zangal.

Oparr is highly knowledgeable about all things Lisseran, and has accompanied novice Li to Fyor to study the Two Sisters' Sect.
