Night Bloom

The Night Bloom is a rare flower found only in the light less depths of the Fungal Forest. The Night Bloom flower is found to grow only in areas untouched by the sun, and only blooms when introduced to the spores given off by the large mushrooms native to the Fungal Forest. As such, the Night Bloom flower has been impossible to grow outside of its native environment. Found growing around the base of the Giant Mushrooms, the Night Bloom flower possesses bright pink petals, with a neon green center.
Due to the petals high toxicity , the flowers are untouched by natural predators, and harvesting of the flowers must be done with extreme caution lest one becomes poisoned. Valued for its use in magical potions and tinctures, the Night Bloom flower acts as a binding agent between the natural ingredients and the magical energies that are introduced in the potion. The flower itself is also used for its poisonous nature by assassins and those looking to temporarily enhance a weapons poisonous damage.
Because of the Night Blooms natural toxicity, only trained specialists are permitted to use the Night Bloom flower. As such, specialty potions using this flower come at a high price and are seen in only the most specialty potion shops, but are more potent and believe to possess a longer usability than other potions. The Night Bloom flower also enables the creation of unique and interesting potion combinations. Potion experts even believe that it is possible to combine the flower and magic in such a way to create a permanent magical effect, which at the moment can only be achieved through the combination of science and magic by a member of the Izzet League. If this is achieved, the creation of magical weapons and artifacts will no longer only be attainable through the Izzet League Guild.

Conservation Status

Due to the rarity of the plant, the Fungal Forest, where it grows, it a protected environment. And harvesting of the plant is strickly restricted.
