Mainly that her mother was insisted on keeping their house clean and would beat her severely if it wasn’t spotless at all times. She also has hazy memories of “mean girls”, a “handsome young man who dies at sea”, and a “sad old man with a kind face.” She thinks the girls bullied her, that she was in love with the young man, and that the sad old man was her father or some other close male relative. She thinks she came from Italy, probably Milan. Most of her concrete memories date from her Embrace at the hands of a Kindred by the name of Franco Tavani. She remembers opening her eyes after her transformation clad in tattered old rags and herself in much need of a bath.   Franco’s relationship with her was a strange one. It was unclear to her if he wanted a lover, an ally against other Kindred, or simply a pawn. He had her Blood Bound to him early on but treated her well, thus reinforcing his control over her. They spent some time in Vienna where she learned to hate the Tremere who controlled the Austrian city.   After 150 years together, Franco announced that he could no longer stand Kindred existence. He asked Minerva to help him end it all. With extremely tearful reluctance, she eventually agreed. She staked him in a barn and set him on fire. The fire grew out of control and set the entire villa they had been in ablaze. Traumatized, she wandered around Greece for awhile before tiring of Europe. She left for the New World and found herself in Ravenhurst, Connecticut.   She presented herself to Prince Lothaire and was accepted. Since coming to Ravenhurst, Minerva has been in good standing though the long decades have not been good to her psyche. She eggs on the rest of her clan against the Tremere. And she’s become obsessed with Luna Von Hagen’s idea of a dark presence permeating and influencing Ravenhurst. However, she mistakenly thinks this presence is the Man in the Moon. But mostly, Minerva stays by herself at her estate as much as she can with only a single ghoul, a young woman who runs all her errands and keeps the place spotlessly clean.   Image: Minerva is a woman of medium height with long blonde hair and hazel eyes. She favors long flowing dresses most of the time and mostly disdains casual wear. She is in her 40s but has aged well, often turning the heads of younger men. Due to her Derangement, she keeps herself and her clothing as clean as possible at all times.   Roleplaying Hints: Act very bossy and severe, especially to anyone of lower station than you. Yell at your Ghoul and verbally abuse her when she is serving well and beat her when she makes a mistake. Yell in Italian when you get annoyed, which is a common occurrence. Be terse most of the rest of the time. Think of Joan Crawford in Mommy Dearest.
