Doge of Taryu

In a ceremonial formula for consulting the Taryuens, when a new doge is chosen, before he takes the oath of investiture, he is presented to the people with the formula: "This is your doge, if it please you." This practice came to an end in 363, after the election of the current Doge Ryvelo Yastapor. He was presented with the unconditional words "Your doge".
