Solomon Sydell
Solomon Sydell (a.k.a. Sea Eye)
The infamous captain of the Jade Wish. Far from an altruist, he has been well paid for his services smuggling goods to the Protectorate.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Born in Whitehaven, Capital City of Iusnar to a merchant sailor and a quilter. Solomon became his father’s apprentice. When he was about 17, his father suffered an accident at sea and was blinded. Solomon became his family’s provider.
Employment
Solomon worked for the Graubard Shipping Company alongside his father for most of his teenage years. When his father was blinded in an accident aboard ship, Solomon assumed the captaincy. When The Kingdom of Iusnar began the trade embargoes against the Protectorate, the Graubard Shipping Company complied... for the most part. The GSC allowed Solomon to smuggle additional goods and commodities for a cut of his profits. When the blockade began, the Graubard Shipping Company began to disassociate from Captain Sydell’s activities, eventually even taking out a contract for him with the Crimson Company (Open Crimson Contracts).
