Marnfield

The breadbasket of the Tentowns. The largest farms and granaries sit outside this rather small village. Much of the settlement’s size comes from the expanding farmlands surround the village center.

Government

Each of the Tentowns is led by a Townspeaker, a minor noble, who reports to the Earl of Haven. A Townspeaker is often appointed by the townsfolk, but it is sometimes an inherited office.

Industry & Trade

Many of the farmers here in Marnfield are grain farmers. Others farm vegetables. One family owns an apple orchard. Marn Apples, as they’re known, are a real treat in much of the Tentowns, fetching a shilling an apple.

Infrastructure

Three different windmills are operated here by different families. One of those families also operates their windmill as a brewery and tavern known fittingly as The Windmill.

Geography

Many of the farms extend out to the east, south, and west of the village. To the north, however, few farms reach out into the Mistfield Meadow. The gently rolling plains are fed by many springs dotting the area.

Natural Resources

The rich mineral waters that spring up from beneath the ground create a unique type of grain that is itself rich with nutrients.
