It’s said that a party of the King’s Guard came to run The Revelers out of the town they were staying in. Jaquier invited them into the local tavern, promising the Guard that he would give himself up and turn himself over to them if they would all join him for a drink that evening. Whether he poisoned their drinks or slit their drunken throats one by one, by morning the King’s Guard were all dead, the tavern and the whole rest of the block had been burned to the ground, and the Revelers had left town with 10 barrels of Sieber champagne.
