Chimera

Chimeras are each a unique blending of multiple creatures. The first chimeras were created after mortals summoned a demon lord from the The Abyss. The demon, unimpressed with the creatures that surrounded it, transformed them into horrific, multi-headed monstrosities.
A Chimera is not born, they are made. Often the product of arcane experiments tampering into abyssal magicks, each chimera is therefore unique. While the iconic specimen is created by combining a dragon wyrmling, a lion, and a goat, a true chimera can be created from any three creatures. Other examples include giant eagles, tigers, oxen, bears, elk, horse, and/or giant scorpions.
A chimera combines the worst aspects of each of its parts. Evil and/or enterprising mages create chimeras as powerful servants or guards.
