General Summary

Prepared to venture out, the party embarks from Lavant to the northeast, following their benefactor's wishes to investigate the ruins of Lock's Haven. Passing over The Lulling Plains, the group made their way into The Pervading Jade, a dense, lush forest of mystery.   Winding their way through the forest, they were approached by a duo of centaur representing their clan: Y'salc and Hi'vann. They demanded the party leave the woods, attempting to defend their territory from interlopers who would further corrupt The Pervading Jade. When inquired, and through tough negotiation, the group managed to calm the scouts to further investigate the wood's corruption.   The centaur led them to the rest of the centaur clan, along with aiding druids: Varant and Meceth. The two explained the corruption of the forest. A great tree lie near a lake, the center of water for the majority of the forest, and it is said to have become afouled. The tree is said to be alive - soon discovered as a treant - and was weeping a necrotic acid into the pool, making the water inhospitable. The group learned that the treant had been corrupted by a strange stone spotted by Crow and his companion bird, a stone rumoured to be placed their by a foul soul with magical means.   In a fantastic feat of acrobatic and athletic prowess, Maul launched Jack across the water to the tree in the center of the lake. With a great deal of effort, Jack was able to hack at the treant before prying away the strange, necrotic stone, pulsing with hideous energies.   Upon hastily fighting his way back to land and curing himself of poison, Jack and the group were attacked by the lone stranger responsible for the corruption: a warlock of ill intent named Reynos. After a fevered battle, Reynos was dispatched. Taking the soul back to the druids and centaur, it was learned that the warlock was serving a god of death, although his intent on corrupting the forest seemed vague and remained unanswered. Reynos was slain by the centaur for his deeds, his supplies taken by the party.   The party agrees to set out with the permission of the centaur by morning to continue their journey. In the night, Crow was frustrated with his patron, and nagged for her attention by offering Reynos' focus. To his surprise, The Raven Queen spoke back for the first time in months, giving no direction and no guidance, before consuming the warlock's focus, leaving Korva to his thoughts.
