Smeola

The Nation of Agriculture

Known for its large amount of fields ripe with soil for farming, many people who live in Smeola work in the field of agriculture. However, it’s not known just for that. It also has the best militia of all the Nations. While having a smaller number of men than Athon, they make up for their numbers with the overwhelming skill their warriors have. Those in Smeola are very religious and tend to follow the will of the gods, meaning they have a fairly good alliance with Skaia. Smeola is known for its pro-magic policies and views, so it is no surprise they have high tensions with the Nation of Athon. Teria on the other hand, became good allies with Smeola soon after it was first dubbed as a Nation. Within their Nation they have a few prominent races including Half Breeds, Humans, Kitsune, and High Elves. Any race can be found within Smeola, but those have seemed to be the most prominent. Many Terians are also found within Smeola due to the large, once-abandoned castle. This castle is now home to the Magic Academy of Raemora. While much smaller classes for magic may exist throughout Raemora, this is where people go to learn from the best. Smeola has become a bit overpopulated due to the school, but because of their advances in agriculture this is not a problem. It’s a bit of a shock how Smeola manages to keep up the production of food in the way they do. It’s rumored to be due to a gigantic enchanted Aventurine crystal buried deep below the ground of the Nation. Aventurine is well known for its luck properties, so this ensures bountiful harvests every year. As well, the aventurine stone assists in those learning magic in the academy, as luck will always be on Smeola’s side as long as the gem remains intact.
