The Nation of Eternal Sunlight

Laplecia used to be combined with Voswia, forming one nation named Lavolcia. This was quite some time ago, as a civil war broke out hundreds of years prior. No one seems to entirely know why the war broke out. Civilians refused to discuss it, and over time any information on it got lost in history. Everyone is well aware of the outcome of this war. Lavolcia split into two nations, one of which was Laplecia. Laplecia is a nation filled with knights, towers, and markets. Travellers who have visited this region will describe it’s classic medieval appearance. All kinds of beings reside in Laplecia, the prominent race being high elves but all sorts of beings live here as well. This nation uses gold as it’s currency, trading with other nations as well. This nation is known as the nation of eternal sunlight, the sun always remaining at high peak, Nightfall seemingly never occurring here. It’s said that they have a remarkable sunstone that holds tremendous power, keeping the night at bay, making sure daylight always remains. Many believe the reason for this is to keep the dark elves and the monsters of Voswia from wanting to enter Laplecia. The sunstone is said to be worn around the neck of this nation's leader, to ensure its safety, although no one can really say for sure.
