Vampire

Basic Information

Anatomy

Physically resembles homo sapiens sapiens, but contains fangs and pale, pallid skin (which can be easily masked through makeup).

Biological Traits

Aside from lifespan and blood makeup, homo sapiens stryga closely mirrors that of homo sapiens sapiens.

Genetics and Reproduction

Effectively the same as homo sapiens sapiens, though they can create vampires by turning humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

Most often don't really physically age past adulthood, though some can choose to stay the age of a teen or young adult if wanted.

Ecology and Habitats

Most prefer staying out of the sunlight, so homo sapiens stryga prefers dwelling in caves or dark castles.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most can digest human food, though the primary energy source is blood. Some vampires will hunt, while others will store away reserve blood supplied by friendly nations.

Biological Cycle

In winter they are more prevalently out and about, due to the lower amount of sunlight, but sunlight doesn't kill or seriously harm them, so they still do come out in the summer.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Vampires enjoy hierarchy, organizing under a king and queen, with technological researchers, middle-class, lower class, and workers in between.

Facial characteristics

Their faces are close to humans', but the eyes may be different colors such as red, purple, or yellow, and vampires also have fangs in their teeth (or sometimes completely substituting teeth). Some may have pointed ears, but not all do.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Most large cave settlements can be found within the borders of the Honorable Republic of Therana, though there are others outside its borders.

Average Intelligence

Above-human

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Vampires have incredible hearing and decent sight, and can see in the dark. They have heightened olfactory senses, and can identify a person based on the smell of their blood.

Civilization and Culture

Major Organizations

Relationship Ideals

Most vampires are fiercely monogamous, though often behave similar to humans.

Common Etiquette Rules

The higher in vampire hierarchy one is, the more formal they will act. However, middle class and downward aren't narrowly proper.

Common Dress Code

They prefer dressing in black or dark greys, only really showing color at a funeral. In times of joy, they will wear white.
