Harps

Tiresia herself may have been the most compassionate amongst the other members of the Eight scribes, but sadly not many of her own people the Harps have taken her message of mercy to heart, due to the most common factions among the Highwing Remnants plotting war. You probably already know about the Harp war with the Commonwealth and how many decades have passed since it started. Fortunately we have a truce now, but it remains to see if it will last, even with the young Emperor's approval. They are normally strictly matriarchal, but a man can take leadership if the Airess is having health issues or is captured.
Despite the old Commonwealth stereotypes showing Harps as cackling pantomime villains, do not underestimate their intelligence, as they can write and read just as well as anyone else with enough education. It is believed our earliest ancestors were Harps who lost their wings, but some of the newer discoveries are throwing this myth into doubt.
Amongst the exiles of the Downside, the clipped wing Harps normally join the Essence Triumvirate, which was founded by the Matriarch Teresia Tithis during her own exile.
Tiresia Tithis had health complications in the past, however the few Scions she has looked after had Callings of Lover,Leader or Sage and Perviews of Sky, Emotiona(Compassion), Healing and Protection.
