Death Mountain

This mountain is said to have been beautiful white quartz before the old king sealed all the darkness away into the rock, tainting the stone forever, due to holding all of the residual energy of the great evil. Neither proven or denied the royal family holds a great secret about this place and has a special force of guards to keep watch. Located in the NE of Amteria the mountains stick out like a sore thumb due to it neighboring the icy north. The mountains are tall enough that from the southernmost part of Amteria you can still see it on a clear day. There is no known way to get up the mountain as climbing is impossible and there are no forms of transport to get up the slopes. Not even the Queens guards stationed here have ever been farther than a few feet up the mountain.

Geography

A jagged, black quartz mountain, with steep narrow slopes and no path insight. Near the peak of the mountain tons of tiny caves can be seen if you climb high enough. Ash covers the mountain in a deep layer, adding to the near-impossible ability to climb. Near the bottom of the mountain, the thick layer of ash makes it hard to even get even grappling hooks into the side of the mountain to climb a little of the ways up. The ash also makes breathing the air around the mountain extremely hard. No life inhabits the mountain, or at least thats what we're told.

Fauna & Flora

No life is able to live in or on the mountain, or so reports say.

Natural Resources

A wealth of volcanic ash/rock and coal. Also possibly more rare ores inside the mountain. No one has ever been allowed to excavate the mountain. Rumors say its due to the fact that mining the mountain could release the great evil unto the world once again.
