Dangers of Pyrinas

Though Pyrinas is a mostly peaceful continent, it is not without its dangers. There are small groups of ne'er-do-wells that occasionally harass travelers or launch attacks at government officials. Most delinquent groups are immediately dealt with by the Defense Council of Pyrinas and their specially modified Autonomous Units. These AU’s are designed for non-lethal retrieval of criminals, but they can be given the order to kill by their commanding officers. Officers of the DCP are all members of the sentient races. Humans and Dwarves being the most common, with the rare Elven commando for special missions. Other races are extremely rare, but not unheard of.
The most common dangers are those that exist in the wilderness. The cities of Pyrinas are large, but much of the land remains as either untouched or reclaimed wilderness. Only the foolhardy explore the wilds without proper preparation.
