Oggsmain Council
The Oggsmain Council of Representatives, or simply the Oggsmain Council is the governing body of the city-state of Oggsmaw and the surrounding settlements.
Demography and Population
The people under Oggsmaw influence are predominantly human. Also common are half-orcs and half-elves who inhabited the Emerald Coast before humans came to the lands. There is also a sizeable population of dwarves from Brazenthorne.
Territories
The Oggsmain Council holds influence over the city of Oggsmaw. It's seat of power, and several settlements and areas of land in the Emerald Coast region. These lands do tend to overlap with those of the native orcs of the Emerald Coast, who still claim their right to the region "from the forests to the seas," however are confined mostly to the Kraggen Hills and the open plains within Oggsmaw's territories.
Military
Oggsmaw has a dedicated and well trained militia with a decently sized naval contingent. Their soldiers act as peacekeepers and guards in the city and the surrounding settlements and patrol high traffic sections of their territories. They of course can also be called to arms as an effective force in times of war or unrest.
Foreign Relations
Oggsmaw has a largely trade based economy and as such, benefits far more greatly from diplomatic relations with it's neighbors than hostile ones. Their settlements are open to people of all but their worst enemies and have generously low tariffs for outside traders brining in goods from across the Emerald Sea.
