Falcons

Falcons (also known as Mercenary Pilots, Birds of Prey or Passeros) are highly skilled Pilots without a cause.

Description

As the art of air travel came to thrive, Pilots quickly became society’s most well-respected individuals. Among these Pilots, some rise above the rest in terms of skill, perseverance and finesse: The Falcons. Fearless mercenaries without a cause and revered by all, the Falcons travel all across the alps in search of fame and fortune, completely untied from anyone but themselves and their plane.

Pilot blood

As people migrated up into the mountains during the Great Migration, so did many old world Pilots. Realizing the new importance of air travel, many of these old Pilots banded together in order to help the population move. As the colonies began forming, the old Pilots eventually settled down and their now famous planes became family heirlooms, passed to their children along with their parent's skills. The descendants of these old Pilots became famous and came to be known as Falcons, masters in the art of flying. The planes, while most of them greatly refurbished, remain passed down within their families along with their skills. This is why a Falcon is often refered to as having 'Pilot blood'.   However, after 200 long years not many Falcon lineages remain intact and finding a 'pure blood' Falcon is difficult. Theft, bastardization and self proclamation have caused the line between a true Falcon and a regular, albeit highly skilled, Pilot to become blurry due to no true records being kept apart from the passage of the family planes.

The Falcon and his plane

A Falcon only cares about one thing: their plane. Gifted to them by their old world ancestors, the Falcon's plane is their life. They live in their plane, carelessly venturing the open skies in search for mercenary work. However, after 200 years and roughly 8 generations of Falcons, not much of the old world planes remain intact and most of them have been almost completely refurbished to the point where they are unrecognizable to their old versions.
