Items & Equipment

Obtaining Items & Equipment

While on Prochorbis, its isolated environment can make obtaining specific equipment a challenge. Items and equipment can be obtained through a number of ways.

Exploring the world

  • Sometimes while exploring the world of Prochorbis, you can come across equipment from dead adventurers or alien ruins.
  • While highly unlikely to find any modern weapons from your exploration, the world of Prochorbis is filled with ancient artifacts, relics, and magical items.

Buying from Vendors

  • Vendors in the settlement will offer a new selection of random items and equipment every couple of expeditions. Keep your eye out for anything that interests you, because it likely won’t last long!
  • As your settlement increases its Prosperity Levels, it will attract new merchants and vendors that will sell more specialized items & equipment.
  • Similarly, as your settlement advances, a larger selection of items and equipment will become available at each vendor.

Requesting Items from Vendors

  • Alternatively you can request an item from a vendor be shipped to Prochorbis.
  • Since Prochorbis is a planet in the far reaches of the galaxy, and the only method of receiving a shipment is by drop pod, players will have to pay a large premium on requesting items.
  • Requesting an item may be 2-5X the normal shop price of the item.
  • Additionally, requesting an item may take a week or longer before the item is available for retrieval.
  • When the item is available, it will be dropped down to Prochorbis at Anvilpoint Plains via a drop pod. The player will then be responsible for retrieving the item.
  • However, if the player wants to pay an additional flat fee of 1000 credits, the item can be retrieved for them.

Crafting Items

  • Crafting can be a useful way to obtain your desired items and equipment quickly and inexpensively.
  • Players can trade credits to UPBs (universal polymer base) at a 1:1 ratio from vendors.
  • Players must have an appropriate crafting bench in their lodging to craft an item or equipment.
  • Players must use a full day of downtime in the settlement in order to craft a single item.
  • Players must spend an amount of UPBs equal to the normal cost of the item in credits in order to craft the item.
  • The DC for successfully crafting an item is equal to 15 + 1.5 x Item Level.
  • If the player fails to craft the item, the UPBs are lost.
  • Players can attempt to infuse an item with a special material for +5 to the DC.

Installing Weapon Attachments, Armor Upgrades, and Augmentations

  • Installing Weapon Attachments, Armor Upgrades, and Augmentations can be done at an appropriate vendor for a fee of 200 credits per item level.
  • Installing Weapon Attachments, Armor Upgrades, and Augmentations yourself requires an appropriate workbench and an additional check.
  • Installing a Weapon Attachment requires a Weapon Crafting Bench and a successful Engineering check.
  • Installing an Armor Upgrade requires an Armor Crafting Bench and a successful Engineering check.
  • Installing an Augmentation requires a Medical Laboratory and a successful Medicine / Mysticism / Engineering check, depending on the type of augmentation.
  • The DC for successfully installing an attachment, upgrade, or augmentation is 15 + 1.5 x Item Level.
  • Installing an item takes a full day of downtime. You can take multiple days to try to install an item, with each consecutive day giving an additional +1 bonus, up to a maximum of 5 days.
  • You can try to install an item a total of three times before the item breaks and is unusable.
