Primordial Ring

Primordial Ring is a series of space station orbiting with or embedded into an asteroid belt. Due to the expansion all other light in the universe has not been visible from this solar system for over a billion years.
The asteroid belt encircles a full orbit of the white dwarf star in the center. There a 1000's of groupings of space stations almost like cities as well as many millions of sparse separated stations. These groupings of stations act as sovereign entities with various government and social structures forming there societies.

Geography

It is occupied by numerous irregularly shaped bodies of rock rich with resources. There are many minor planets none containing atmospheres or livable conditions.
There is a vase number of ancient abandon space stations that have been Frankensteined together over the ages. Also copious amounts of space debris polluting all parts of the ring.

Fauna & Flora

No wild life, all cells based life forms are created in controlled hydro farms inside space station aside from one dominate species called Proioxis . These controlled hydro farms can be huge warehouses inside large stations or small on board devices that can fit inside the walls between two rooms.

Natural Resources

Around large groupings most useful material have been mined though vase supplies still of rich recourse from H2O in the form of ice to carbon deposits. All metals are mined raw and all plastics and over carbon products are artificially produced. There is a large wealth of infrastructure in the ring to obtain there resources though most of this is owned by a few rich members of the population.
Asteroids contain large quantities of carbon molecules as well as the more usual rocks and metals. They are very similar in composition to the carbonaceous chondrite meteorites that sometimes fall on Earth. It is thought that these meteorites are chippings, smashed off during collisions between asteroids.
