Brainweed

Brainweed is a relatively new flower, which only began appearing in the world a few months after the end of The Age of Mortality.  It is a fey plant, but does not originate from the Feywild itself.  Instead, it appears only in transition zones between the Prime Material Plane and the Feywild.  It resembles hemlock, with a strange blue tinge to it, but is extreme deadly.  Mere contact with the flower can be dangerous if handled improperly, but consuming even small quantities of it it will surely lead to ones death.  The plant embeds itself in the bloodstream, and begins to grow outwards from the victim's body; especially the head.  At first patients appear healthy, strange floral growths notwithstanding, until suddenly they drop dead; their entire brains and much of their body now composed of plant matter.
