Auran "burial" Rituals

In the Elemental Plane of Air, land is a scarce resource.  As such, bodies are not buried.  Instead, they are typically set aflame via magical means and thrown into the air.  The flaming bodies fall for eternity, looping back around when they reach the "bottom" of the plane, but as the fire burns they are slowly turned to ashes and scattered to the wind. This is typically done in designated regions, so that nobody accidentally wanders into a region where flaming corpses might suddenly fall from the sky.  Particularly significant individuals typically have their bodies enchanted to burn longer.
