Bathin

Bathin was born to a human mother and a triton father in the territory of Magnial. At first, his parents assumed he had taken after his father, having blue-tinted skin and an affinity for the ocean but this wasn't the case. By four years old Bathin's parents had learned that he was not a triton but a Tiefling. However, rather than be hated or discarded, Bathin's parents happily raised him.
Bathin wasn't the most accepted child. The children around his age were usually of orcish or human descent and due to that he was seen as weird. It didn't help that he was incredibly gullible. But always willing to try new things, Bathin joined in with some orc and half-orc kids in a drum circle. And it was there that the young tiefling learned that he was a master of rhythm.
When he reached twelve years old, the children started to turn their opinion on the boy when they came to watch him playing his rhythms but to Bathin, it wasn't enough. He learned with one of his friends how to build his own drums and made them of different sizes and tones. And seeing this, Bathin's father thought he should introduce his son to a new instrument the tritons had invented long ago; singing bowls.
With a new weird instrument, Bathain took to them quickly, becoming this oddity among Magnial as a masterful percussionist. However, Bathin wasn't satisfied. Instead, when he came of age, Bathin left Magnial to go on a journey to see what other percussions other kingdoms had to offer.
By the time Bathin was in his mid-thirties, he had been to Leodaav, Skel, and the Vortex Islands. He learned the culture and experimenting with different designs of percussion. Since then, he's been put in high regard by dozens of bards that take his performances and replay them for any who wish to hear "the man that strides in his own beat."

He plays on stages from inns to celebrations made up of plenty of different crowds. However, on his way up to a renowned performer he did side jobs and even some light adventuring at the beginning.
