Harvest Tide Day 3 - Goblin Negotiations - Day 5 - Return to the Village for Goblin Camps

General Summary

It is still relatively early in the morning by the time the party reaches the abandoned farmhouse where the goblins dwell.   Dos introduces the goblins to the party - 16 in total. Dos's apprentice, Mizzix, is the most talkative of the lot.   The party decides that brining the gobble of goblins would bring too much negative attention to the town, instead they requested only three of the goblins will go - Dos, Una, and Mizzix - the rest of the goblins will stay at the farmhouse.   Mizzix pulls out his cloak, raises his height to 6'2", "I'm a big man" - then shrinks back down, saying that is how he would be able to blend in (aside from the fact that he still has the face of a goblin and the sleeves of the cloak went long past his hands). The others discouraged Mizzix from going as a 'big man', saying that the people probably wouldn't appreciate it.   As the party travels down the road, Mizzix notes Willumin's Dwarven death sticks (e.g. cigarettes that are dwarven style) and offers him one of his own creation, giving Willumin a metal cylinder that continuously smells of cigarettes.   A three hour travel of mostly Mizzix talking away to the party from the abandoned farmhouse, they reach Quickshore. Fortunately for the party though, Daisy, the leader of Quickshore, has a house on the edge of town and they were able to quickly sneak towards her house without much ado for the three goblins with the party.   They propose to Daisy that the goblins would like to reside with the people, showing that they have skills that could be of use to the town and that they only wish for a peaceful existence without being kicked or having to wrestle for power (quite literally, wrestle). Daisy, in turn says she can't make that decision on her own, but would have to convene a meeting with the people of Quickshore. "I will organize a meeting in 3 hours in the lodge. In the meantime, stay in here." As she exits here house to talk to the people, Willumin leaves for a smoke, observing the reactions from the populous - many of which were not favorable to the idea of goblins living with them or near the town of Quickshore. Meanwhile, Lithoniel and Millie try to explain fixing things to Mizzix - that just because something can be fixed or improved upon doesn't mean that Mizzix should just take the item and fix it.   Wilumin casts augury again to see what will happen if they do not intervene and help the goblins - Woe - "OK, we need a plan."   Well, what positives do the goblins offer for the village?
  • Cool bear trinket that Dos made, but Mizzix adjusted so it could roar to show that the goblins have skills
  • Make a small village outside of the village instead of fully incorporating the goblins with the people, at least at first
  • They could make a repair shop, where Dos and the others help the people
  • Defense force / make defenses for the village? No replies Dos, We don't want to have to fight
They prepared as much as they could until Daisy returned. Well, let's do this. Willumin, Lithoniel, and Millie look at each other, Mizzix, want to go for a walk? Willumin asks - in an effort to keep the overly talkative and not entirely tactful goblin from being a party of the negotiations   Upon entering the lodge and standing before the crowd filling the building, they were not greeted warmly - with shouts of "Goblins are goblins" and "They killed by friends, my family" to which the party countered with "Are you judged on the worst of their people?" One of the villagers did not take kindly to the goblins still - throwing food at the goblins - but Lithoniel caught it before the Dos that just went to shield himself from the impact. "Don't throw food at them" - Lithoniel The party mentions the skills that the goblins will offer the village, saying the Dos can fix things, to which Thern Forerush from Ships for Trips approaches with a broken hammer, which Dos is quickly able to mend. After much discussion, the party is able to sway the people, or at least most of them, to allow a trial period for the goblins. They can live in tents near the city for now, they need to come back the day after tomorrow when the goblins can learn the rules of the city.   During the meeting, Mizzix and Willumin appear to have bonded, Mizzix borrowing one of Willumin's guns to "Make it better".   Taking this as a victory the party, Dos, Una, and Mizzix return to the abandoned farmhouse where a party ensues for most the night. The goblins introduce a specialty drink of theirs - Unlucky Rage - a drink that often causes other goblins to get into a wrestling rage, but a losing wrestling rage, thus, Unlucky Rage. Not a pleasant tasting drink, but a strong one.   The day after next, the goblins arrive in Quickshore, escorted by the party. Daisy greets them at the town line, directing them towards the southeast, along the coast, where the goblins will be set to camp and learn the rules of living in a humanoid town.   In the meantime, the party will help out the villagers, with the help of Mizzix.
