Harvest Tide Day 3 - Goblin Negotiations - Day 5 - Return to the Village for Goblin Camps
General Summary
It is still relatively early in the morning by the time the party reaches the abandoned farmhouse where the goblins dwell.
Dos introduces the goblins to the party - 16 in total. Dos's apprentice, Mizzix, is the most talkative of the lot.
The party decides that brining the gobble of goblins would bring too much negative attention to the town, instead they requested only three of the goblins will go - Dos, Una, and Mizzix - the rest of the goblins will stay at the farmhouse.
Mizzix pulls out his cloak, raises his height to 6'2", "I'm a big man" - then shrinks back down, saying that is how he would be able to blend in (aside from the fact that he still has the face of a goblin and the sleeves of the cloak went long past his hands). The others discouraged Mizzix from going as a 'big man', saying that the people probably wouldn't appreciate it.
As the party travels down the road, Mizzix notes Willumin's Dwarven death sticks (e.g. cigarettes that are dwarven style) and offers him one of his own creation, giving Willumin a metal cylinder that continuously smells of cigarettes.
A three hour travel of mostly Mizzix talking away to the party from the abandoned farmhouse, they reach Quickshore. Fortunately for the party though, Daisy, the leader of Quickshore, has a house on the edge of town and they were able to quickly sneak towards her house without much ado for the three goblins with the party.
They propose to Daisy that the goblins would like to reside with the people, showing that they have skills that could be of use to the town and that they only wish for a peaceful existence without being kicked or having to wrestle for power (quite literally, wrestle). Daisy, in turn says she can't make that decision on her own, but would have to convene a meeting with the people of Quickshore. "I will organize a meeting in 3 hours in the lodge. In the meantime, stay in here." As she exits here house to talk to the people, Willumin leaves for a smoke, observing the reactions from the populous - many of which were not favorable to the idea of goblins living with them or near the town of Quickshore. Meanwhile, Lithoniel and Millie try to explain fixing things to Mizzix - that just because something can be fixed or improved upon doesn't mean that Mizzix should just take the item and fix it.
Wilumin casts augury again to see what will happen if they do not intervene and help the goblins - Woe - "OK, we need a plan."
Well, what positives do the goblins offer for the village?
- Cool bear trinket that Dos made, but Mizzix adjusted so it could roar to show that the goblins have skills
- Make a small village outside of the village instead of fully incorporating the goblins with the people, at least at first
- They could make a repair shop, where Dos and the others help the people
- Defense force / make defenses for the village? No replies Dos, We don't want to have to fight
